His policy and that of KoonsFuller is one of discretion. He respects the privacy of his clients above all else.
Mr. Robertson is one of Collin County’s best known divorce attorneys and manages the Plano office for KoonsFuller. He is the firm’s President and co-Managing Partner.
He has been selected one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth (Thomson Reuters, 2005) and is featured among the most outstanding family lawyers in Texas' Best Lawyers (Woodward White, 2010).

Mr. Robertson came to the firm after many years with the largest law firm in McKinney, Texas. He was raised in Austin and attended the University of Texas (B.B.A., 1976) and the University of Texas School of Law (J.D., 1978).
A Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation, he is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the College of the State Bar of Texas, a former Director of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and a member of the Collin County, Texas and American Bar Associations.
He and his wife live in McKinney. They have two grown children.
Mr. Robertson has written articles and made presentations on family law issues to local, state and national bar associations.
His peers recognize his expertise in the use of electronic evidence and the role of social media in the divorce process. In 2007, he won the award for the best paper written for presentation to legal groups by the State Bar of Texas, for his effective paper on the use of electronic evidence.
He also offers commentary on a wide variety of subjects to Metroplex radio stations, and you can click on links below to hear audio clips. For Dallas radio station KLIF, Mr. Robertson has commented on the uses of Facebook in court; what divorcing people need to know at tax time; and the situation of crowded family courts throughout the state. He was also interviewed on ABC Radio about international child custody laws.
Mr. Robertson appears regularly on local Dallas-Fort Worth television. Recently, he appeared on KTVT News 11 in Fort Worth and on Good Morning Texas on WFAA-TV in Dallas to talk about the dangers of Facebook and other social media and their use in divorce cases. See both videos below.
Mr. Robertson also speaks to church and civic groups on staying married and the many challenges that face those who decide to divorce.
“We always offer clients the possibility of saving their marriages,” he says. “We don’t need to drum up business, and we would much rather see people get their lives in order. But if a divorce is inevitable, we are zealous advocates for them.”
