In February 2011, Town & Country magazine honored Ike Vanden Eykel among the top 15 attorneys nationwide who represent rich and famous clients. He was the only Texas attorney listed in the magazine's Field Guide to Divorce Lawyers and was recognized for his business savvy and the quality of his law firm team.
In 2009, Kevin Fuller was recognized as the family lawyer of the year in Dallas by the Best Lawyers in America and featured in the publication, Texas' Best Lawyers. In 2010, nine KoonsFuller attorneys were featured in this publication among the top family lawyers in the state. They are Aubrey Connatser, Charla Bradshaw Conner, Julie Crawford, Mike DeBruin, Kevin Fuller, Heather King, Rick Robertson, Karen Turner and Ike Vanden Eykel.
Also in 2010, D Magazine selected Heather King and Charla Bradshaw among the Best Women Lawyers in Dallas. The magazine honored Fuller and Vanden Eykel among the Best Lawyers in Dallas in 2008.
Fuller, Vanden Eykel and Connatser have been recognized among the Best Lawyers in Dallas for 2011. Heather King and Rachel Moore have been honored among the Top Attorneys in Fort Worth by Fort Worth Texas Magazine 2007-2010.
Ten KoonsFuller attorneys were selected to the list of Texas Super Lawyers published by Thomson Reuters in 2011 -- Aubrey Connatser, Charla Bradshaw Conner, Julie Crawford, Mike DeBruin, Kenneth Fuller, Kevin Fuller, Heather King, Rick Robertson, Karen Turner and Ike Vanden Eykel. More firm members made the 2011 list of Texas Rising Stars, the top attorneys in the state under 40 years of age or with less than 10 years experience in law. Those are Clint Brown, Julie Crawford, Jeff Domen, Ashley McDowell, Kristy Piazza, Liz Porter, and Rachel Moore.
Kevin Fuller has been selected by Thomson Reuters to the list of the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas each year (2003-2010), Vanden Eykel received this honor from 2003-2006, King in 2008; Robertson, Bradshaw and Ken Fuller in 2005.
Three KoonsFuller attorneys -- King (2004-2010), Bradshaw and Sharla Fuller (2005) -- have been selected by Thomson Reuters to the list of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Texas.
On the national level, Vanden Eykel was honored as one of the Top 10 Divorce Attorneys in America by Town & Country magazine in 1998.
In addition, Vanden Eykel was recognized as "the reigning king" of Texas divorce in "Divorce, Texas Style," an article in The Dallas Morning News Business section in 2007. He was also called "the divorce-law Jedi" by Morning News columnist Alan Peppard the same year.
Koons Fuller members also have exhibited bar leadership over the years. King is past President of the Tarrant County Bar Association (2008-2009), and Vanden Eykel is Immediate Past President of the Dallas Bar Association (2010). Kevin Fuller is Chair of the Collaborative Law section of the State Bar of Texas and former President of the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas (2008-2010).
Bradshaw is the immediate past President of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists (2009-2010). King took the reins of that organization from her last summer. At the same time, Koons was elected to the Family Law Hall of Legends and Vanden Eykel was awarded the Sam Emison Award for meritorious service to family law in the state.
Ken Fuller, who has dedicated himself to pro bono service for the past decade, had an award renamed for him.
