“I became a Denton family law attorney to feel like I was helping someone,” she says. “With divorce and family law, you are helping your client go through a very difficult time of life. You have to give your clients individualized attention, because each case is different, each client is different, and at the end of the day you help that person and his or her family through complex divorce litigation.”

The Denton family lawyer had a case where a young mother is afraid of losing her child. She feels bullied by the system, her husband and his attorney. “She told me that with my support and availability, even on the weekends, she doesn’t feel alone anymore,” Ms. Garrett says. “It makes me proud to support her during this difficult time, and in the end, help her keep her child and rebuild her life.”

Ms. Garrett is a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University in business and earned her M.B.A. at Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business in 2009. She earned her J.D. simultaneously at Texas Tech School of Law and was a top advocate in many competitions including negotiations and moot court.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association – Family Law Section, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and The Association of Former Students at Texas A&M.
