History

Pioneer Texas family lawyer Bill Koons established the firm in 1978 as one of the first boutique law practices that exclusively handles divorce and child custody actions.

The firm has evolved and grown over the years. Ken Fuller joined the firm soon after and was in the first class of attorneys to be Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Ike Vanden Eykel came to the firm in a merger with the family law section of a large, full-service firm in 1990. In September 1998, the firm added McKinney attorney Rick Robertson to create Koons, Fuller, Vanden Eykel & Robertson.

At the same time, the firm expanded to include a major new office in Plano in addition to the original location in the uptown section of Dallas. In November 2007, the firm opened a third office on the Southlake Town Square. KoonsFuller merged with the Denton firm of Gregory & Conner in 2008 to make the firm's fourth office.

In the fall of 2010, the name of the firm was changed to KoonsFuller, and along with that came a rededication to the highest quality family law services for North Texas and the state.
