Child Custody and Children's Issues

The custody of children is one of the most important and emotionally difficult issues in family law. Issues that have to be addressed in any family law case involving children include:

• Primary custody and possession of the children

• Each parent's legal rights and duties concerning the children

• How parenting time with the children will be shared between the parents

• What geographic area the children will live in

• Who will pay child support and children's expenses

• How major decisions affecting the children will be made

The attorneys of KoonsFuller understand resolving issues concerning children can be a very emotional and difficult process. Though we may encourage you to consider collaborative law, mediation and other methods that result in less contentious child custody proceedings, we understand that in some cases aggressive litigation is what is needed to resolve the issues involved. The attorneys at KoonsFuller will work with you to help you understand the pros and cons of each option so that you can make the best decisions available for you and your children.

Veteran divorce attorney Rick Robertson, co-Managing Partner of the firm, describes the process of pursuing your child custody goals.
